For the second time in three weeks, hitting Kevin Boss has proven costly. The NFL announced today that it has slapped Chargers safety Eric Weddle with a $7,500 fine for an ugly, helmet-to-helmet hit on the Giants tight end - - ugly, but still not hard enough to separate Boss from the ball as he held on for a 9-yard catch. It was the same fine the league handed down to Cardinals safety Antrell Rolle two weeks ago for a similar hit (with a similar result). Boss has insisted he did not suf...
