At the beginning of May, word got out that the Flyers had interest in Goalie Ray Emery. According to Tim Panaccio at CSN.com, it now looks like Emery will indeed be the Flyers starting Goalie next season. Are we ready for this? Emery's potential on the ice is promising. Everything else...is discouraging! Emery took the Ottawa Senators to the Stanley Cup Finals in 2007...

According to CSNPhilly, word has spread around the NHL that the Flyers are deep in discussions with Emery and, barring a last-minute breakdown, will sign the goalie when free agency opens in July. Emery last played for a team in the KHL, a Russian League, after being waived by the Ottawa Senators in 2008.

According to Tim Panaccio of csnphilly.com, the Flyers’ are poised to sign Ray Emery as their starting goalie for next season.
While Flyers’ GM Paul Holmgren declined to confirm the report,
