With six seconds left, Dolphins beat rival Jets 31-27
So much for Rex Ryan's mastery over the Wildcat. Ronnie Brown's game-winning touchdown run with six seconds remaining on a magical Monday night made sure Ryan, the New York Jets' rookie head coach, got the message.
Who has the edge: Miami Dolphins vs. N.Y. Jets
The Dolphins run the ball better than any team in the NFL. Goodie for them. They not only lead the NFL in rushing yards (quality) but also lead in rushing attempts (quantity), which says they don't give up on the run. If it's not Ronnie Brown or Ricky Williams out of the base offense, it's Ronnie and Ricky out of Wildcat.
What We Learned From Monday Night
The Jets/Dolphins game was one of the better monday night games I have seen in a very long while. It was exciting, had a few trick plays, and featured some guys that many of us are counting on for our collections and/or fantasy teams.
