It's been on my mind for a while, but I never remembered to ask. Finally, at the end of Thursday locker room, it hit me again as I saw DE Dwight Freeney lace up his shoes for an afternoon workout. I asked about his sack celebration. I started noticing that this year, but didn't know what it exactly was, when it began, the whole story. "I hit my heart twice," he said, pounding his chest. "Family and friends. "And then I salute you," he said of his finishing touch for the fans. Freeney has seven sacks this season. He's on a seven-game sack streak, too. I'm thinking Alex Smith will go down on Sunday, too. "I play the game for the love it," he said, "from the heart."
