Nate Robertson was placed on the DL today (retroactive to the 27th) with a mass in his elbow. Fu Te Ni had his contract purchased. A hearty DTW shout out to East Windup Chronicle which had the Ni call up story before everyone else.

Detroit Tigers The team placed lefthander Nate Robertson on the 15-day disabled list Sunday with what they’re calling “a mass” in his left elbow. The move is retroactive to June 27. To take his place on the roster, the Tigers purchased the contract of lefthander Fu-Te Ni from Class AAA Toledo.
