Richard E. Jacobs, the former Cleveland Indians owner and commercial real estate developer, has died. He was 84.
Jacobs' real estate company confirmed the death on Friday.
Jacobs owned the Indians from 1986 to 2001.
Progressive Field, the Indians' ball park, was known as Jacobs Field from the time it opened in 1994 until it was renamed last year.
