G'town coach: Roy's big game no shock

Roy Hibbert's big game raised some eyebrows. The second-year center had 20 points, 11 rebounds and eight blocked shots as the Pacers rolled Denver 126-104 Thursday morning in Taiwan. Hibbert's college coach, rather than being shocked, sees it as an example of the 7-2 center's continuing development and not really a stunner. "I said this last year, his best ball is still ahead of him," Georgetown coach John Thompson III said Thursday afternoon. "When you look at someone like Roy, the work ethic he has and the caring he has coupled with his God-given abilities, he's going to continue to get better. "I would say he's not close to where he will be one day. To see those numbers, quite honestly, it's not surprising." During a rookie season of fits and starts and foul trouble, Hibbert started 42 games and averaged 7.1 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.1 blocks.
