by Adam GretzFiled under: Penguins, NHL InjuriesIt's not quite a "nearly catastrophic testicle injury," but Penguins defenseman Sergei Gonchar had his own set of problems during the Stanley Cup playoffs. After being involved in a knee-to-knee collision with Washington's Alex Ovechkin in the Eastern Conference semifinals, the Penguins' No. 1 defenseman suffered a partially torn MCL that sidelined him for just two games. Had the same injury occurred in, say, November, it probably would have kept him out of the lineup for a couple of months. It's the second major injury of the season for the 35-year-old Gonchar, as he missed the first four-and-a-half months of the season due to a shoulder injury suffered in a preseason game against the Tampa Bay Lightning.Gonchar Had Partially Torn MCL originally appeared on Fanhouse NHL Blog on Mon, 15 Jun 2009 11:00:00 EDT . He could've taken somewhere around $80M from Edmonton to...

The Bucs took two of three from the first-place Tigers.  Was it pretty?  No.  Just effective.  The pretty part was left to the 2009 Stanley Cup Champions when Captain Sidney Crosby carried Lord Stanley’s Cup onto the grass of PNC Park  yesterday.  He certainly got the big crowd out of its seats today, didn’t he?  Jordan Staal, Max [...]

LORD STANLEY`S CUP HAS COME TO PITTSBURGH!

I can`t even describe how i feel about this. I mean, i had to work that night, so i didn`t get to see it live. The game was on in the breakroom, so of course i would take a drive on my forklift up to see the score. I knew they won before i got home. My wife was asleep when i got home so i had to wait til morning to celebrate. She recorded it for me, and i watched it as soon as i...
