MLB Trade Rumors:
Once the World Series ends, teams get an exclusive 15-day window to negotiate with their own free agents before they truly hit the open market, and as Jeff Zrebiec of The Baltimore Sun notes, lefthander Mark Hendrickson hopes the Orioles take advantage of that window.

It has to work on both sides. That includes fit and role and economics. I don't see any reason that all three things can't be accomplished."
The former Philadelphia 76er, Sacramento King, New Jersey Net, and Cleveland Cavalier pitched to a 4.37 ERA in 105 innings this season, mostl...

Orioles: Moeller explained
Most of you probably know this already, but I thought I'd clarify the Chad Moeller situation for anyone who didn't get to the end of Jeff Zrebiec's story on the subject. O's: Soft news is good news
This is the lull before the storm. This is the time when major league front office people tie up loose ends, take a few days off and catch their breath before offseason begins in earnest following the World Series.
That's why the biggest baseball headline in The Sun today is about negotiations with reliever/swingman Mark Hendrickson, who almost certainly will re-sign with...

Orioles Roundup: Mora, Moeller, Datz
The Orioles have declined Melvin Mora's $8MM option for 2010, likely ending his successful tenure with Baltimore.Mora struggled in 2009, hitting just .260/.321/.358 in 496 plate appearances this past season. He will be 38 years old, and will likely command far less than his option number as a free agent. However, for teams looking for a third baseman, Mora might be a reasonable...
