Palmeiro
((HT: ESPN/Pedro Gomez))Rafael Palmeiro spent some time reflecting before he was inducted into the College Baseball Hall of Fame on Friday in Lubbock, Texas.Palmeiro's legacy shifted in the summer of 2005. On July 15, he got his 3,000th career hit and joined an exclusive club of players with 3,000 hits and 500 home runs. Hank Aaron, Willie Mays and Eddie Murray are the only other players to have done both. On Aug. 1, Palmeiro found out he had failed a steroids test and was suspended 10 days by Major League Baseball."I made a mistake," Palmeiro told ESPN's Pedro Gomez on Friday. "I didn't really understand what I was taking and I paid for it. I paid for it very dearly. Life goes on."Palmeiro continues to deny knowingly taking performance enhancing drugs."I've heard a lot of things out there that are wrong," he said. Palmeiro Still Lives In the State of Denial

Rafael Palmeiro is sticking to his guns by telling ESPN that someone gave him a "tainted" B-12 shot. He may have been better off not saying anything. -SportzAssassin

Hernandez Leads the Way, Huff Homers, O's Win Against Angels, 6-4

The Orioles snapped a two game skid as they won against the Angels, 6-4, out in Anaheim last night. Rookie David Hernandez showed himself to be major-league worthy as he kept the Los Angeles lineup -- one of the better in baseball -- at bay as he went 6 1/3 innings and allowed three runs on six hits. Hernandez was not perfect in any sense of the word, but his teammates gave up a...

Angels pull off another comeback

For the first time in more than 30 years, the Angels rally back from a four-run deficit for a second consecutive game to beat the Baltimore Orioles, 9-6. The Angels cobbled together a three-run, seventh-inning rally with just one hit and plenty of patience today in a 9-6 come-from-behind...

The Baltimore Bullpen Blowup: Angels 11, Orioles 4

There's a bunch to write about here, and for once, the danger is that I'll forget some of it; usually it comes to me about 24 hours after, but this was actually a pretty entertaining game (something I've said twice today). Howie Kendrick made a semi-competent comeback, the Angels stomped on a bad team (though one wonders what the O's would do transmigrated into the...
