The Sounders right now are facing off against one of the best teams in the league. Being that it is nearing the end of the season it is in the thick of the playoff hunt. The Sounders right now are holding on to a wild card spot. If the Sounders want to lock up the playoffs they will most likely need to win 2 of their last 3 games and tie 1 of them. This will give them 44 points overall which is a really secure point total.
Columbus right now is the only MLS team to have clinched the playoffs so far. Even with the loss of coach Sigi Schmid at the beginning of the season, to the Sounders, Columbus was able to turn around after last season and prove that they are the MLS Champions. The main reason for their success is forward Guillermo Barros Schelotto who has scored 12 goals in 21 games that has played. Even without Schelotto Columbus has been a dominating team and is probably the best overall team in the league.
Seattle on the other hand is coming off of a tough loss to the New England Revolution. The game started off well with a quick goal from Fredy Montero, but from then on out they struggled. They weren't able to lock down the defense allowing 2 goals to let the Revolution come away with the 2-1 victory. If the Sounders want to make this game close and try for the win or the tie they will need a perfect all around game. This has been hard lately because it seems whenever the offense does well the defense struggles and vise versa. With a full roster today and no major injuries I see the Sounders playing well, and I see a big game from Ljundberg.
I see the Sounders under the coaching of Schimd coming out strong, but not being able to close out the game against this good of a team. I see a 1-1 tie in this one.
Go Sounders!!
Side note: It will be interesting how Schimd will be recieved returning to Columbus for the first time since their MLS Cup win.

Ravens: Can't win like this
The interception that Joe Flacco just threw at the New England 8 yard line was the fourth serious mistake the Ravens have made in the first half. No way to sugarcoat that. The Patriots are too good to beat on the road making a couple of key mistakes in a game, much less a handful like that.
There was an obvious miscommunication on the play, since Mark Clayton turned into the end...
Gaither down
Offensive tackle Jared Gaither apparently suffered a neck injury and is being removed from the field on a stretcher. The nature and severity of the injury is unclear, but coach John Harbaugh seemed to be saying "He's okay" as he came off the field.
The reverse angle replay showed Gaither's head slamming into the back of quarterback Joe Flacco, who was sandwiched...
Why I'm picking the Pats, in a close one
I think the Patriots will beat the Ravens Sunday by three points. I very seldom bet against New England coach Bill Belichick or Tom Brady, and the Patriots playing at home is worth the three-point advantage. But I also think these teams are so close in talent that I would take the Ravens if they were playing at home.
It's an intriguing matchup. You have the established coach...
Washington on way to Oregon
The Oregon program has a strong history of going into the Inland Empire and finding so called, "diamonds in the rough" such as current New England Patriot, Patrick Chung. As the staff looks to add some depth to the defensive line, they have found another prospect who has been flying under the radar throughout this recruiting cycle
Week 4: Pats put Ravens in their place
New England put Baltimore in its place Sunday, holding off a late rally to knock the Ravens from the ranks of the unbeaten.
Purple and black attack with a hint of pink
There's no need to adjust your television screens as you watch the Ravens take on the New England Patriots today. Several Ravens players will indeed be wearing pink in an effort to raise awareness about breast cancer.
Quarterback Joe Flacco, wide receiver Derrick Mason, tight end Todd Heap and center Matt Birk will be wearing pink cleats and wristbands as representatives for...
Too few running plays will clip Ravens' wings
Of the team's 66 offensive plays, only 17 were runs
F Despite the loss to the New England Patriots on Sunday, the Ravens still made a statement. They might end up being the best team in the NFL when the season is over.
Fred Taylor is taking the lead at running back for the New England Patriots
The Patriots had a very full roster at the running back position when the season started but veteran Fred Taylor has separated himself from the rest. Taylor has carried the ball 38 times for 176 yards (4.6 ypc) with 2 TD runs. He has also caught 1 pass for 4 yards this season. Fred Taylor [...]
