Sean "sloppy seconds" Avery got so far under Shane O’Brien's skin during a recent game between the Rangers and the Canucks that O'Brien jabbed Avery with his stick while standing on the Vancouver players bench. For his efforts O'Brien got a one game suspension. While I think Sean Avery is a punk the man does add a lot of drama to the NHL. Just for the record the Canucks beat the Rangers 4-1.

Vancouver winter wonderland
While the Rangers were in Vancouver, there was lots of talk about the Olympics—including that bit about fans should get H1NI flu shots before they go, and that the Canucks will be away from their home rink for 40 days—and this scenario kind of reared its head in my imaginative mind:

Peter Tessier: Game Day! Canucks @ Wild
After an impressive win over the Rangers on Tuesday night the Vancouver Canucks take their limping roadshow out to the mid west to play the Wild.
