Chicago White Sox - Acquired 3B-OF Mark Teahen from the Kansas City Royals for 3B-OF Josh Fields and 2B Chris Getz; Signed OF Mark Kotsay to a 1-year, $1.5 million contract. A pretty bad and pretty pointless trade for the White Sox. Luckily for White Sox fans, when it comes to Kenny Williams, the trades I love turn out badly and the trades I hate turn out well, so Teahen will hit 40 home runs, Kotsay will win a Gold Glove, Josh Fields will contract lupus, and Getz will go on a shooting spree on the 2 train when the Royals visit New York. Josh Fields has been pretty poor defensively, but Teahen's not a good defensive player either and isn't really a good hitter. If Teahen ends up replacing Dye, the White Sox have a problem in right field. If Teahen plays 3rd and Beckham shifts to 2nd, the White Sox have a problem at 2nd.
