South Carolina senior left-handed pitcher Alex Farotto has been selected in the 34th round of the 2009 MLB Draft by the Chicago White Sox. Farotto is the fifth current Gamecock to be drafted this year along with Justin Dalles (6th, Orioles), Sam Dyson (10th, A's), DeAngelo Mack (13th, Yankees) and Nick Ebert (32nd, Yankees).

Toledo junior RHP Justin Collop was selected in the Major League Baseball Amateur Draft on Wednesday in the sixth round (193rd overall pick) by the Chicago White Sox. In addition to Collop's draft selection, future Rocket RHP Mike Hamann was chosen in the 24th round (725th overall pick) by Cleveland. Collop and Hamann are the 33rd and 34th Rockets to be drafted since the 1965...
