A new target for Cutler?

CHICAGO -- Some topics just never die. Throughout the entire 2009 calendar year, the Bears have resisted the idea of adding another veteran wide receiver, opting instead to give valuable game reps to Devin Hester, Earl Bennett and Johnny Knox. It seems the Bears made the right call, as the receivers have been the least of the team's worries on offense. Take a look at these projected 16 game statistics: Hester -- 80 catches, 1,037 yardsBennett -- 57 catches, 763 yardsKnox -- 55 catches, 709 yards Now comes word on Monday that San Diego released 31-year old Chris Chambers, who has only nine receptions this season. Despite those paltry numbers (not to mention the Bears' previous stance on the issue), former all-pro safety and current NBC analyst Rodney Harrison attempted to build a case for Chambers to join the Bears, during an appearance on the Waddle & Silvy show on ESPN 1000.
