With the return of Sean Payton as coach in New Orleans, and the arms race going on in San Francisco and Seattle, the Green Bay Packers have quietly gone about their business this off-season. The Packers are not consensus pick among experts around the league, and as Rodgers told ESPN Milwaukee, he loves the “Packers floating under the radar.” “I love it. I love being under the radar,” Rodgers told Jason Wilde of recently. “For sure, we’re a contender. For sure. I mean, we’re going to put ourselves in position to win a lot of games. Our goal is to win our division and get to the playoffs. And anything can happen. And then hopefully we can take care of business like we did in 2010 when we get back there. “The NFL didn’t do us any favors with the schedule, but we don’t need them to.” After a few seasons of taking everyone’s best shot, and being the hunted, I think Rodgers and the Packers will enjoy quietly being the hunters.

Aaron Rodgers: “I love being under the radar”

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodger did an interview with and and was asked if he feels like they’re flying under the radar with teams like the Seahawks and 49ers emerging last season.  I love it. I love being under the radar. For sure, we’re a contender. For sure. I mean, we’re going to put ourselves in position to win a lot of games. Our goal is...

Midweek Movie: Aaron Rodgers 2012 Highlights

During the months of June and July, finding relevant Packers news is often hard to come by. Occasionally, there is some big news to come out of 1265 Lombardi Ave at this time of the year. Case in point is the release of Linebacker Desmond Bishop earlier this week. But this type of news is often the exception rather than the rule during the dead of Summer leading up to training...

Aaron Rodgers Got ‘Wake-Up Call’ From Packers This Offseason

Aaron Rodgers‘ future is secure, but he’s got a pretty heavy dose of reality this offseason by way of some of his Packers teammates. Rodgers signed a five-year, $110 million contract extension in the offseason, making him a very rich man and keeping him in Green Bay through at least the 2019 season. Some of his former Packers teammates weren’t so lucky, as the team went through...

The Problems with Value-Based Drafting

Problems with Value Based Drafting Value Based Drafting in fantasy football is essentially valuing a player to the extent he exceeds the baseline player at his particular position. For example, if Aaron Rodgers is projected to score 427 fantasy points, and in your 12-team league, the No. 12 QB (the baseline player), Robert Griffin, is projected to score 322 points, then Rodgers...

The Packers Are Being Totally Disrespected, You Guys

Perhaps the most pointless off-season story other than a player claiming to be in the best shape of his life is a player boasting that his team not receiving enough respect will somehow propel them to glory. So thanks for this, Aaron Rodgers. The Packers no longer are one of the trendy NFC teams: Those teams reside in the NFC West. “I love it. I love being under the radar,” Rodgers...

NFC North: June stock watch

Green Bay Packers, FLAT: What can you really say about the Green Bay Packers? Will they win their division? Almost certainly. Will they be considered a Super Bowl contender heading into the postseason? Yep. Is Aaron Rodgers still the most valuable player in the NFC North? You betcha. Yeah, the Packers are at the top of their division, and I don't see that changing anytime soon...

Driver would return to Packers if asked

Donald Driver, who retired four months ago, said he would end his retirement and return to play for the Green Bay Packers if the team asked.

NFL 2013 The Five Worst Starting Quarterbacks

There always has to be someone at the bottom no matter what position, or sport. Some of the guys on the bottom are still at a stage in their careers where they can still climb out of that spot and end with a good name. Not everyone can be as good a Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, or a Drew Brees, but you can still be a successful QB in this league without that. But these guys on this...
