After Adam Wainwright complained that Adrian Gonzalez and his Dodgers teammates were “doing some Mickey Mouse stuff” while celebrating during L.A.’s big Game 3 win, Gonzo trolled Wainwright and the Cardinals after he homered in Game 5.
Gonzo crushed a ball to right-center in the third inning of Wednesday’s pivotal Game 5, then he flashed some Mickey Mouse ears as as he headed towards the dugout to great his teammates.
Shots fired…your move, Wainwright.

Adam Wainwright cleared up a misunderstanding regarding his issues with Adrian Gonzalez’s “Mickey Mouse” behavior during Game 3 on Monday night, explaining that he wasn’t annoyed with a celebration, but with Gonzalez heckling him. LBS and many other outlets incorrectly believed Wainwright was annoyed with the way Gonzalez celebrated his RBI double to put the […]
Adam Wainwright didn’t bring his “A” game to the mound or the batter’s box on Monday night.
During his at-bat in the sixth inning of Game 3 of the NLCS against the Los Angeles Dodgers, the Cardinals’ starting pitcher accidentally tossed his bat into the cameramen section after fouling off a pitch. Wainwright would eventually ground out to third for the first out of the...
St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Adam Wainwright wasn’t thrilled following Game 3 of the National League Championship Series, and it wasn’t just because he took the loss against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Wainwright didn’t pitch poorly by any stretch of the imagination — he gave up just two runs over seven innings — but the Cardinals couldn’t push any runs of their own across...
If the Cardinals had a problem with Adrian Gonzalez flashing Mickey Mouse ears after homering in Game 5, they're not letting on.
"As far as getting under our guys' skin, our guys want to compete," Cardinals manager Mike Matheny said Thursday, an off-day in their series against the Los Angeles Dodgers. "We're not out there to make friends.
After Yasiel Puig showcased an epic (but premature) bat flip celebration in Game 3 of the NLCS against him on Monday, Adam Wainwright tried one of his own while at the plate in the top of the sixth inning. It was a little bit too aggressive, however, as the bat was flung all the way to the photographers pit just beside the Dodgers dugout. I know Wainwright isn’t paid to perform...
Adrian Gonzalez hit two home runs Wednesday that helped the Dodgers beat the Cardinals, 6-4, and survive another game in the National League Championship Series. After the first of them, he celebrated by using his hands to flash "Mickey Mouse" ears toward his teammates as he neared the Dodgers' dugout.
"Just having fun," a smiling Gonzalez explained to me...
Adrian Gonzalez did a gesture with his hands by his ears after hitting a home run in Game 5 of the NCLS on Wednesday, making many people think that he threw up some Mickey Mouse ears. Gonzalez hit a solo shot off Joe Kelly to put the Los Angeles Dodgers up 3-2 on the St. […]
ST. LOUIS -- Before checking on three things to watch in Game 6 of the NL Championship Series, let's weigh in on one thing that hopefully we won't see.
That would be making too big a deal of the antics of Adrian Gonzalez, Yasiel Puig and any Dodgers who choose to express themselves in ways that rankle the purists.
If they want to flip their bat, let them. The Dodgers did...
Puig thought he hit a 4th inning home run off Adam Wainwright but the ball didn’t quite make it over the right-field wall. Puig still managed to turn the long fly ball into a triple. Brian McCann is not impressed!
In a matchup sparse on offense, the Los Angeles Dodgers managed just enough to pull themselves back into the NL championship series.
They snapped a stretch of 22 innings without a run scored in the fourth inning Monday night, and went on to beat Adam Wainwright and the St. Louis Cardinals 3-0 in Game 3.
Runs have come at a trickle through the first three games, with the nine combined...
I’m not sure what the hell is happening in this GIF, but I’m loving every second of it. Yasiel Puig is the most entertaining player in baseball, even when he’s in the dugout.
The post Yasiel Puig and Adrian Gonzalez do something ridiculous in the dugout (dot GIF) appeared first on The Nosebleeds.
A baseball team has a problem with the way another baseball team is celebrating. So what’s new?
This time the two parties involved are the Cardinals and the Dodgers, and it just so happens to all be magnified because it’s gone down in the NLCS.
So what’s the beef?
Well Adam Wainwright took exception to Adrian Gonzalez‘s celebrating, calling it ‘Mickey Mouse’:
The first two games of the National League Championship Series didn’t go according to plan if you’re a Los Angeles Dodgers fan. Sending not only your two best pitchers, but two of the best in the game, one of whom drew the start opposite Joe Kelly, you would expect that at the very least you are heading home all tied up.
Well things don’t always go according to plan. Greinke...

Go Blue! These Boys showed up to play tonight!
Ryu! He got the best of Waino and the Cards pitching a 3 hit shutout. He was mixing it up out there throw a 94 MPH fastball with a 81 MPH change to follow. If we did not have such a strong pen with B. Weezy and Jansen, he could have gone the distance - but why waste...
