Shirts With Random Triangles:
With Alabama set to visit LSU this Saturday, Crimson Tide defensive end Damion Square thought the "younger guys" (i.e those players who weren't around for the Tide's last trip to Baton Rouge) what to expect for their first visit to Death Valley. Specifically, Square explained how to handle the fact that the players would have to run out on the field next to a cage with LSU's live mascot, Mike the Tiger VI next to the locker room tunnel.
"Anybody that's been through it before, we kind of let the younger guys
know that as soon as you come out of the locker room, to your left will
be a live tiger," Square said with a smile after Tuesday's practice.
"Be ready for that."
Of course Square also had some advice of the even scarier creatures LSU doens't keep caged - the Tiger fans in the bleachers.
"They scream the whole game, they make sure you know that they're in the
stadium and there to support their tea...

ONE DAY AT A TIME
Nick Saban turned 61 on Halloween and took a reporter along with him for the day. He did make one surprising revelation about the day.
BOLD MOVE, LSU FAN
Happy birthday, Nick Saban…you might want to get that growth removed before the weekend Today is Halloween. Today is also Nick Saban’s birthday. these two things are mutually exclusive and totally independent of each other…but the Devil appreciates the irony nonetheless. To celebrate this joyous occasion, and in anticipation of the Alabama/LSU game this weekend, some...
Alabama coach Nick Saban says game manager is the ultimate compliment for a quarterback.
He says that's what the top-ranked Crimson Tide has in the nation's top-rated passer AJ McCarron. No. 5 LSU would love to get similar efficiency from strong-armed Zach Mettenberger in Saturday night's game.
Both are supported by punishing tailbacks and terrific defenses.

This debate regarding great collegiate teams and poor NFL teams was rekindled by Steve Spurrier's comments about Alabama possibly being favored against some unnamed NFL teams. For starters, Alabama isn't even that good this year. Last year's Bama squad would beat this year's team, and last year's squad couldn't even beat LSU at home during...
QUICK HITS: Alabama head coach Nick Saban discussed LSU's pass rush, how his offensive line will deal with it, Tigers' quarterback Zach Mettenberger and more at his Wednesday night press conference.
Gary Danielson of CBS thinks Alabama is the best team in the country. Well, of course he does. That's not really news. Danielson also called Notre Dame the worst of the top four undefeated teams (Alabama, Oregon, Kansas State, Notre Dame). That's not really news either. But it was another quote in an interview with USA Today that has ruffled some feathers: Danielson claiming...
Quarterback AJ McCarron wore his knee brace again, wide receiver Amari Cooper was the most active he's been all week, and some other observations from Wednesday afternoon's Alabama practice.
Maybe the force-field that has shielded the end zone the past two times Alabama and LSU have tangled won't be quite so powerful Saturday night.
The top-ranked Crimson Tide and No. 5 Tigers smacked into it in last season's two meetings at various points on the field, crossing the goal line only once between them.
Alabama especially has been forced to attempt a cascade of...
This game has some serious high stakes this year as there are National Championship game implications, yet again. This Trailer, created by an LSU fan, is well-crafted and certainly makes you excited for this massive game this weekend. Something tells me that even though LSU is motivated, it probably won’t be enough to beat the machine that is the Alabama Crimson Tide.
Just because it's LSU week doesn't mean Alabama will change its mindset or message. The Crimson Tide is treating this Saturday just like any other.
Although the annual meeting between Alabama and LSU has lost a little bit of appeal, this is still one of 2012’s most-anticipated games. The Tigers...
