Alex Green got the start with both Cedric Benson and James Starks inactive against the Browns. He did run for 16 yards on 4 carries and was in on just about ever offensive snap. Green is a perfect fit for the Packers spread attack as he played in a similar system in Hawaii. It’s hard to jump off the page with only 4 carries, but this is still a RBBC in the making and it’s not like the Packers really care about their RBs.

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Preseason or not, NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers' first-team offense has hardly looked like the group that led the NFL in scoring last season. In six drives so far through two games, including the Packers' 35-10 loss Thursday night at home to the Cleveland Browns, Green Bay's starters have produced only seven total points with one interception...
There have been some happenings in Packers camp the past couple of days so I saw it as a chance to write up a summary of what is going on so people are aware.
It seems the injury Desmond Bishop suffered during the Packers pre-season game against the Chargers was a bad one. Bishop will be out for the season. This is a big hit to the Packers defense that was already struggling...
SUPPORT THE TEAM
Well, I will give them this: they are definitely clever.
Whether or not you find them to be sweet or inappropriate and borderline gross (you know, once the inevitable mental image kicks in), you have to hand it to these two Green Bay Packers fans for coming up with a unique jersey name duo.

Mike McCarthy and his assistants have plenty of young players to watch in the Green Bay Packers' preseason game against the Cleveland Browns on Thursday.
They'll also be monitoring another relative unknown: The changing wind patterns at Lambeau Field.
In the middle of a major expansion project, Lambeau has sprouted a massive superstructure with a giant video board in the...
Memories of a brutal NFC Divisional playoff loss to the New York Giants fester in the warm August air over Lambeau Field.
Last January, amidst a frigid Wisconsin winter night, the titanic 15-1 Green Bay Packers fans watched in horror as the goliath-slaying New York Giants stymied their team’s defense of its Super Bowl title.
It’s now seven months later, and time has not healed...
Hot News for QB Green Bay Packers
No determination has been made on Desmond Bishop returning this season. Meanwhile, Greg Jennings, Jermichael Finley and John Kuhn are expected to practice on Sunday, as is new running back Cedric Benson.
Greg Jennings has been sidelined since sustaining a concussion at a scrimmage on August 3, and the Packers will not provide a timetable on his return to action.
As reported by Brad Biggs of the National Football Post, head coach Mike McCarthy isn’t sure when the former Western Michigan star will return to the field.
“Well, it’s a long time,” said McCarthy regarding Jenning’s...
Antonio Freeman was one of Brett Favre’s greatest weapons. Sure, throughout his Green Bay career there was Donald Driver, Bill Schroeder, Corey Bradford, Bubba Franks, Javon Walker, and Robert Ferguson. But it’s Freeman who is the most underrated out of all of them.
Freeman played football at Virginia Tech, he caught 93 balls for 1,534 yards and 16 touchdowns through his junior...
After an opening touchdown pass from Aaron Rodgers to Jordy Nelson, the Browns dominated 35-10. Graham Harrell was mostly miserable and the Packers were lit up by Brandon Weeden and Colt McCoy.

We all know that the NFL preseason doesn't really matter. At least the final score at the end of the game doesn't but for fantasy football owners there are plenty of things that can be taken away from these otherwise...
The Browns take on Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field in the second preseason game of the year. As with the first game, most Browns fans will have their eyeballs fixated on rookie quarterback Brandon Weeden.
