Just when you thought things couldn’t get any crazier in New York, the Knicks push the envelope just a little further.  According to Frank Isola of the New York Daily News, the New York Knicks could give the head coaching job to assistant general manager Allan Houston if Mike Woodson is fired.  The Knicks are in a serious free fall, losing nine straight games and starting the season at 3-13 under Woodson. Woodson still has the support of at least some players.  Here is what Knicks forward Kenyon Martin had to say, “The man do an excellent job with us,” Martin said. “It’s not on him because we’re not getting wins right now.” He added: “It’s about us going out and playing the way we capable of playing. It’s about us caring and giving a f-, man, that’s what it boils down to.”

Jeff Van Gundy blames roster, not coaching, for Knicks' troubles

I guess we can scratch Jeff Van Gundy off the list of possible replacements for Mike Woodson in New York. According to the New York Post, Van Gundy, now the lead NBA analyst for ABC/ESPN, said he believes the Knicks’ troubles have nothing to do with Mike Woodson but more to do with the roster and the person who built it.  “This isn’t a coaching issue,’’ Van Gundy said...

New York Knicks: Is Mike Woodson coaching for his job?
