Yuba City, California was the site for Galaxy Fight Night IV, and one of the amateur bouts featured Aaron Britt (0-0-0) versus Brandon Alexander (0-1-0). Not exactly Ali-Frazier, but hey, even those guys had to start somewhere, although I doubt those heavyweight legends were ever lucky enough to battle it out at such a prestigious sanctioned event as Galaxy Fight Night IV. Anyhoo, with both fighters looking for their first ever victory in the octagon, the anticipation in the arena was palpable. Luckily for the fans in attendance, our two combatants didn’t disappoint. A mere :14 seconds into the opening round of their bout both fighters landed strong right hooks to their opponent’s jaw, knocking both men out cold. When neither fighter could get to their feet, the match was declared a draw. You know what sucks worse than getting knocked out cold in a MMA bout? Getting knocked out cold in a MMA bout at the same exact time you land that perfect punch that knocks your opponent out cold. Such is the beautiful agony that is the double knockout.
