With Anderson’s apology on record, hopefully the Cardinals can move on to playing better football

On Wednesday (12/1), Derek Anderson spoke with the media since his Monday night press conference tirade.  As a part of his weekly media session, the quarterback to the opportunity to apologize for his role in the incident.  ”OK, let’s try this in a manner that doesn’t end up on YouTube,” he began in an effort towards good humor.  Anderson continued:

I’d like to apologize for my actions after the game.  There is a more professional way I could have handled that. I wasn’t raised that way.  My Mom and Dad didn’t raise me to act like that in times of adversity. Obviously I was very frustrated by what had happened during the game, and I let the emotions get the best of me.

As far as the business playing football, Anderson remarked that he is “moving forward from that, and I am trying to put that in the past and focus on what we have this week, which is a big game for our team at home.”  The situation will most likely be put to rest now, unless ESPN somehow manages to keep it alive.
