Two weeks have passed since Chris Weidman made Anderson Silva (pictured) go night-night at UFC 162 to steal his middleweight crown, yet countless conspiracy theorists, including professional journalists working with Sports Illustrated, can’t get the thought that Silva threw the scrap out of their heads. Nothing currently gets UFC president Dana White more riled up than the topic of fight fixing – not even fighter pay. White claims anyone who believes the UFC had Silva take a dive are “idiots.” For the first time since Silva was put to sleep, the most decorated champion in UFC history addressed the accusation that his scrap with Weidman was rigged. During Saturday’s segment on the “Legendários” talk show, Silva got quite emotional about the subject. The entire interview is in Portuguese and doesn’t offer English subtitles. However, they say anywhere between 55%-93% of communication is done through body language. If that’s the case, Silva’s tears speak for themselves. Please click the media player below to watch Silva’s interview: According to TheUnderground, this is what “The Spider” said: “I’m Brazilian, and people respect my story outside of our country – Japan, England, USA, and we very respected. We do our job very well. On the side of fixing the fight, and me selling it, I’m a little annoyed because when I enter the Octagon, I represent my country and I represent all the Brazilians here and outside who cheer me. It got me very upset, people thinking I sold the fight. I always said it’s a Brazilian belt, if it’s with me or another Brazilian, I always said I don’t want to fight with another Brazilian. If another Brazilian won, I would cheer them on. I wanted the belt to stay here. I’m not a politician, I’m an athlete and I represent my country and I’ll never fail them. Never.”

So what do you guys think about Anderson Silva crying over the allegations of fixing UFC 162?

Two weeks later and I’m still completely in awe of Chris Weidman’s performance. If I were GSP, I would say: “I am emprezzed with his pear-fore-mahnce” but that’s as far as I will take the impressions. Speaking of GSP, he called it, but I still will gladly place my bet back on Anderson for the rematch. Now, on to the fixing allegations, that so many of us have wondered about...

Video: Anderson Silva Cries on Brazilian TV Over Upsetting Fight-Fixing Claims

The greatest fighter in UFC history clearly does not enjoy having his name mentioned in a potential fight-fixing rumour. Not that it angers the former middleweight champ, it simply upsets him that fans and media could consider that he was capable of throwing a fight. The long-time champ appeared on a Brazilian talk show and was extremely candid as he explained his feelings on the...

Stats, Skills and Smack-Talk: The Controversy of Contenders

The word "deserve" gets thrown around a lot in the MMA forums. For example, there were some critics who thought that Chris Weidman didn't deserve his title shot and wasn't ready for Anderson Silva when they fought at UFC 162.
