Found July 25, 2013 on MLB Injury News:
The Los Angeles Angels have been without outfielder Josh Hamilton since he woke up with a sore ankle on Monday morning, but manager Mike Scioscia told William Boor of MLB.com that he expects the slugger to suit up for today's game. Scioscia said Hamilton should be able to play tomorrow — William Boor (@wboor) July 24, 2013 Earlier this week, Hamilton underwent treatment on his ailing ankle. Inflammation was revealed, and the outfielder received a cortisone shot. There seemed to be some expectation that he could be sidelined until this weekend as a result of the injury, but it sounds like Los Angeles is anticipating his return a bit sooner, even after receiving the injection. There doesn't seem to be much reason for the Angels to rush Hamilton back if he's still suffering from inflammation or experiencing discomfort, as he hasn't been extremely productive even when healthy this season. Over 387 plate appearances, the 32-year-old has hit a disappointing .223/.279/.409, though he has totaled 19 doubles and 14 home runs for the Halos. CJ Wilson was livin’ ‘thugluv’ in high school

Now, I’m not sure if Los Angeles Angles pitcher CJ Wilson was the biggest tool in high school, or if he has an incredible sense of humor, or if he went through a phase like many other suburban white kids that I attended school with that talked like they were working for Suge Knight at Death Row Record, but this high school picture of him that surfaced recently is absolutely hysterical...

Harrison Cooney Interviews with AngelsWin.com

Interview conducted by Rick Dykhuizen, AngelsWin.com Contributor Those following the Angels organization know that the Angels have been woefully short on pitching. So, with the June, 2013 draft, the Angels went heavily after pitchers, especially in the early rounds. In particular, they went after hard throwing guys with upside. One of those players who fit that mold was Harrison...

Angels drop Joe Blanton from rotation

The Angels have removed Joe Blanton from their starting rotation, moving the pitcher who leads the major leagues in losses into their bullpen. Hanson solid, but bullpen falters in Angels' loss

ANAHEIM, Calif. If there was ever a perfect time for a feel-good story, Tuesday night was it. Tommy Hanson was making his first start in almost five weeks, and he was pitching the way the Angels had envisioned when they traded for him last November. He was a sight to behold, throwing strikes, locating the ball and getting outs for a team that desperately needs wins. "It was...

While Vargas threw a 'pen session today, Burnett could resume throwing off a mound within a week to 10 days, Angels Manager Mike Scioscia said Thursday. Jason Vargas threw a 30-pitch bullpen today. Sean Burnett, basically on the same program, will do so tomorrow. #Angels ...

Angels reliever Dane De La Rosa helps injured bird off the field (VIDEO)

YouTube The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim have always been an animal-friendly team.  2013 marks the third year of the Rally Monkey.  Thursday night during the A’s-Angels game, relief pitcher Dane De La Rosa went PETA on everyone and helped what looked like an injured bird off the field. And just like that, the Angels may have their 2013 version of the Rally Monkey.  Sitting...

Weaver gem vs. Twins ends Halos' losing skid

ANAHEIM, Calif. -- Jered Weaver has never been shy of showing his emotions on the mound. Wednesday presented yet another opportunity to do so. The Angels ace was facing his most crucial situation of the afternoon. With the Angels clinging to a one-run lead, Long Beach native Aaron Hicks stood on second base representing the tying run for the Twins. He would be stuck there after...

Evaluating the Angels trade deadline strategies

I'd like to extend a big thank you hug to the Minnesota Twins for delivering a death blow to the last remnants of hope that the Angels would go on a big run to get back into playoff contention. Now we can get down to the business of evaluating what the Angels can and should do at the trade deadline in an effort to avoid 2014 being this same nightmare for the fourth straight year...
