PLAYERS: Arian Foster
TEAMS: Houston Texans
Arian Foster has been on the shelf so long, Doomsday Preppers are stocking up on him for the Armageddon.  The calf strain was one thing, but this back issue is a whole other problem.  Kubiak has come out and reveled that Foster received injections before the preseason game with the Vikings.   Kubiak: “They tell me these injections take time.  We are taking our time.”   The Texans were hoping that Foster would be ready to practice this upcoming week, but now he looks like he will miss the entire preseason.  There is reason to believe he may miss week one and maybe longer as well.  If this gets confirmed soon, Foster gets bumped out of the first round and Tate needs to be grabbed 2 rounds earlier than he is getting taken now.  Remember, even if he is ready for week one, Foster has not been able to practice which means he will need to get back into ‘football shape’.  This could lead to him being more prone to injury. Arian Foster’s Availability For Week One Could Be In Doubt

Fantasy owners with the number two pick in the draft may want to consider other options than Arian Foster. With 956 carries and 159 receptions over the past three seasons, it appears as though the former Tennessee Volunteer’s body could be breaking down. Texans hope Arian Foster, Ed Reed are healthy for season opener

Coaches look to the preseason to do three things– fine tune what works, figure out what doesn’t and find out who can fill the holes on the roster. They also hope that one thing will not happen—injuries, but for the Houston Texans the aches and pains have been piling up

Monday NFL Notes

Arian Foster (back) did not practice Monday, but Texans head coach Gary Kubiak seemed confident in having his starting running back healthy for the team's season opener. It's probably safe to assume Foster won't play this preseason...
