Adam Rotter of SNYRB has the translated tweets from Sweden, but it looks like Michael Del Zotto and Dan Girardi may be joining teammate Carl Hagelin in the HockeyAllsvenskan with  Södertälje. This is just another blow to the fans who believe a season will begin sooner rather than later, as more players flock to Europe to find ice time. It’s interesting to see Del Zotto heading...

New York Rangers “Ice Cold Killers” Henrik Lindqvist, Michael Del Zotto, Brian Boyle, & Brad Richards Feature In Esquire November Issue

I’m not too big on hockey other than the Mighty Ducks being one of my favorite movies, no wait that was a fictional story. But anyway the only way I really recognize hockey players is through fashion, and the New York Rangers seem to be a very stylish team since I’ve covered their players in numerous post. In the November issue of Esquire Magazine, led by the 9th Annual Style...

Stajcer assigned to ECHL

The Rangers organization has assigned goalie Scott Stajcer to the Greenville Road Warriors of the ECHL. Tortorella Has Concerns During The Lockout

from Larry Brooks of the NY Post, As would be expected, Tortorella has mixed feelings about his locked-out athletes playing in Europe, as are Rick Nash (Switzerland), Ryan McDonagh (Russia) and Carl Hagelin (Sweden). “On one hand, I worry about the risk of injury — Rick already had the shoulder issue, which turned out to be minor — but on the other hand, I believe...

Whale’s start indicates prospect patience is required

It’s fair to say that the Connecticut Whale have had an indifferent start to the season, stumbling to a 1-3-1 record to open the year. What the Whale’s start also suggests is that when you dig a little deeper there may be a need for patience in regard to prospect development. With two points in his first five games Chris Kreider has hardly set the world alight. Christian Thomas...

Prospect of the week

Andrey Pedan (OHL Images) It was a pretty quiet week for the prospects of the New York Rangers and New York Islanders so quiet that only an Islander prospect got the nod for prospect of the week. A couple of Ranger prospects had good games but one has to play well in all of their games to earn consideration. Defenseman Andrey Pedan (NYI 2011 3rd) is a prospect that I admit at...
