After Netflix revived the formerly defunct cult-classic series Arrested Development earlier this spring with a fourth season available exclusively on the streaming service, creator Mitch Hurwitz revealed that the show will “definitely” be back for more.
Hurwitz was asked about the future of the show at the Just For Laughs comedy festival in Montreal and left no uncertainty that the show would return to Netflix, but he still wasn’t sure in what form.
‘I kinda go back and forth between [a movie] and a series. But here’s the most important thing, whatever we do, I want to get the cast all together and not do another anthology thing, and that’s why I keep thinking about kicking off with a special or a three-part show and then going into a series.
Netflix’s chief content officer, Ted Sarandos, was sitting next to Hurwitz and said he would “absolutely” approve an AD return “in any form.”
