I am doing my football previews based on what people really care about when it comes to football, enhancing their bank account!! Football is easily the most wagered upon sport of all. It is a multi-billion dollar industry on and off shore. So when I write these previews, I am going to incorporate NFL reality with Vegas twist. That is my "Odd" way of previewing these teams. Here is the Vegas view of the Atlanta Falcons according to Sportsbook.com:Odds to win Super Bowl : 17 to 1 or +1700Odds to win NFC: 8.5 to 1 or +850Odds to Win NFC South : 1.7 to 1 or + 170Over/Under 10 wins : Over 10 wins = +110 , Under 10 wins = -140The 17-1 odds to win the Super Bowl puts Atlanta among the top tier of NFL teams to hoist the Lombardi Trophy. These odds are obviously justified because of the NFC Championship appearance Atlanta had last season where they lost to the San Francisco 49ers 28-24 in the Georgia Dome.Though the Falcons built the early 17-0 lead, the ATL could not maintain their...

NFL Football is a rotating door for coaches, players, and staff. A pretty general thought process for those involved typically is a here one minute gone the next mentality. There are multiple reasons for the rotating door to go into motion, but classically the reason is for purposes of success. Last season, after The Atlanta Falcons had a marvelous 13-3 regular season triumph...
The Atlanta Falcons are counting on their first two draft picks, Desmond Trufant and Robert Alford, to have a significant impact for them this season. At training camp, as expected, results have been mixed so far. Pro Football Focus has been grading the rookies performance in their first pre-season game. Here is what they had to say about the two Falcons rookie cornerbacks.
Sometimes, good teams finish last. It's hard to imagine that teams with such offensive firepower and speed on the outside could slip a spot or two. But that happens in the NFL. The Not For Long League is full of teams who are good enough, look the part and cannot find a way into the playoffs. And no, this is not a Dallas Cowboys-like problem. The NFC is the class conference and...

It sounds like White has nothing than a possible sprain.

Falcons offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter says he's not too concerned about the recent struggles of his offensive line.
Koetter believes Atlanta, which visits Baltimore for a preseason game on Thursday, still has enough time to settle on a starting right tackle and decide who fills backup jobs before the season opener Sept. 8 at New Orleans.
Those moves will help determine...
Sean Weatherspoon returned to Atlanta Falcons practice on Monday after sitting out a week because of a left finger injury.
That is good news for a defense that can't afford to be without him very long.
Weatherspoon, the No. 19 pick in the 2010 draft, is Atlanta's lone elite linebacker. He plays every snap unless he is injured.
Falcons coach Mike Smith said Weatherspoon...
Should we star this post with the positive or the negative?
Let’s start with the negative.
GQ cannot be serious with these photos they used for RG3′s cover story. There’s more wrong here than in an episode of Honey Boo Boo. Sheree from Real Housewives of Atlanta had more fashions in her fashion show in which no one modeled anything than these photos have. Further, why...
Mike Peterson’s coaching career didn’t begin this fall. It’s his first year as an undergraduate student assistant at Florida, but his time spent as a coach actually started in 2012. For the first year in a long time, Peterson wasn’t a contributor. He found himself on the sidelines with the Atlanta Falcons, working more as a mentor. That’s the exact role he’ll serve for...
Tony Gonzalez has been absent from Atlanta Falcons training camp because of family obligations. For some players a coach may worry but there’s no need to worry with Tony. He’s entering his 17th season in the NFL so he knows what he needs to do be ready for the season. The Falcons have been keeping tabs on him though having him go through a virtual training camp.
FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. The Atlanta Falcons' offensive line seemed fairly settled until last week before Johnson suffered a season-ending injury.
In the time since then, to quote offensive line coach Pat Hill, the Falcons have "a lot of new moving parts."
Lamar Holmes and Ryan Schraeder are competing for the starting job at right tackle. Phillipkeith Manley could get...
