Atlanta Hawks: What Every Projected Backup MUST Work On
By Mike Elworth
PG: Dennis Schroder- Shooting
- Nobody doubts his incredible passing abilities and that he has the chance to be an excellent floor general, be up near the league leaders in assists and become a team’s franchise point guard, but currently, he cannot shoot. He needs to develop a jump shot if you wants to ever be more than just an elite facilitator and a solid scorer.
PG: Shelvin Mack- Free Throw Shooting
- Last year, although in limited minutes, Mack was a solid scorer from the field and from three and a quality distributor, but shockingly, Mack only shot 56.3% from the free throw line. He is only a 68% career free throw shooter, so he can do better than that, but he must improve, even from his career percentages. Shelvin, go to gym, and throw up 500 free throws per day, that should help, because a guard who cannot even shoot 70% from the free throw line, should not be in the NBA.
