Sporting News staff reports It appears rookies Matt Duchene and Ryan O'Reilly will remain with the Colorado Avalanche all season. The Denver Post reports the club plans to keep both 18-year-old centers on the roster through the Avs' 10th game, Friday against Carolina, rather than send them back to their junior teams.  Once the two are on the roster for 10 games, their free-agent clocks will begin, among other triggers. The newspaper reports that players rarely are sent back to juniors once the 10-game threshold is crossed. Duchene (third overall) and O'Reilly (33rd) were Colorado's first two selections in this year's entry draft. They have played in each of the Avs' first eight games, helping Colorado get off to a surprising 6-1-1 start. O'Reilly has a goal and five assists, Duchene a goal and three assists. O'Reilly is plus-5, while Duchene is minus-4.
