Just when it seemed like everyone was transferring out of Penn State, one player is doing the opposite. Redshirt freshman Jared Fagnano is leaving Akron to transfer into Penn State even though the program has been punished by the NCAA for its role in allowing Jerry Sandusky to sexually abuse several children.
Fagnano is transferring primarily so he can play with his brother Jake...
Former wide receiver Justin Brown confirmed he will continue to work to earn his degree from Penn State despite now playing football for Oklahoma. Former kicker Anthony Fera, who transferred to Texas, also will be working to complete his Penn state degree. Both players have said that the ability to finish their education through Penn State was important to them despite now playing...
As everyone knows, the Penn State football program is going through some tough times and making some changes. In an effort to give recognition to the players who have decided to stick with the program during the rough road ahead, Coach Bill O'Brien and the players decided to add names to the backs of the team jerseys for the first time ever for the upcoming season.
The Nittany Lions' Bill O'Brien won't use his entire roster in the season-opener simply to prevent players from transferring.
Penn State quarterback Matt McGloin appeared to confirm some suspicions on Friday night. McGloin made headlines by comparing himself to Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, saying, "I don't think we're too far apart." But on Friday night, McGloin seemed to admit that he was, in fact, acting in good-natured fun when he made the comment. He issued the following tweet,...

If you’ve got a lion on your arm, you’re probably stuck for life. But if you are a casual fan, you’re free to go as you please...
NORMAN, Okla. — A year ago, wide receiver Justin Brown never could have guessed the situation he’d been in right now.
The trial is scheduled begin early next year for two former Penn State officials accused of lying to a grand jury and burying an allegation of a child's sexual abuse in the Jerry Sandusky scandal.
A judge on Friday ordered jury selection in the trial for Tim Curley and Gary Schultz to begin Jan. 7.
Dauphin County Judge Todd Hoover is still considering motions by the men'...
Next week is going to see the release of one of the most-discussed sports books in recent years, famed sportswriter Joe Posnanski's look at the life of former Penn State coach Joe Paterno, and there's finally some indication of what approach that book will take. Posnanski's spoken vaguely about the contents of the book before (in a video interview that was quickly...
Ole Miss sent a Penn State recruit, four star tight end Adam Breneman, 32 hand written letters. While there’s no rule against this, it probably works against the school sending the letters, especially if they all arrive on the same day like Breneman’s did.
Amazingly we've already reached the halfway point in our 2nd annual B1G Countdown to Kickoff. Today we were joined by not one, but two Penn State writers as Kevin McGuire of The Nittany Lions Den and Joe Juliano of the Philadelphia Inquirer joined us both live and via taped interview to break down all that is happening on the football field at Penn State.
Up tomorrow on the...
