Tiki Barber contends that he has attempted to bury the hatchet with Tom Coughlin, but the New York Giants coach isn't interested in hearing him out.
The Giants' all-time leading rusher told ESPN New York 1050 on Monday that Coughlin isn't accepting his request for a face-to-face meeting.
"We tried. He said no, through his agent," Barber told the radio station. "But one of these days I'm sure it'll happen, because as we know, time heals all wounds. And I think at the end of the day, Giants fans, despite their dislike of me at times, know that I was one of the guys that put (it) on the line every time I put on my uniform."
Barber has been critical of the Giants since retiring following the 2006 season to pursue a broadcasting career. He had detailed that Coughlin's "demeaning" coaching style was one of the contributing factors for him leaving his playing days behind.
