Neon uniforms? I must have missed the memo, but it sounds like some of the Big East and Big 12 Tournament games are scheduled to turn into a black light party at some point. How else would you explain these neon uniforms? According to the Baylor athletics website, the uniforms you see above will be worn by Baylor during the Big 12 Conference Tournament. The Bears are one of three college teams that will wear the bright Adidas uniforms, with Louisville and Cincinnati also set to rock them during the Big East Tournament.
Perhaps this is Adidas response to the ugly platinum uniforms Nike unveiled that were worn by several teams earlier in the season. I’m not sure why, but it seems like all the major athletic wear companies are competing to see who can create the biggest eye sore. Depending on what the Louisville and Cincinnati neon jerseys look like, adidas may be in the lead.
