Not trying to resign linebacker Brian Urlacher is a move that is going to be widely looked upon as a little crazy; at least by many Bears fans. However, what might really be crazy is what the team is reported to have offered the long time veteran-- One year for $2 million. Yes, he is not a spring chicken. Yes, he has had some injuries over the last few years, but $2 million? For one of the best linebackers in the game and the face of the franchise for more than a decade? Crazy is an understatement. What makes it even crazier is that Urlacher was not even asking for much more than what the team offered him-- two years, $5.5 million. And he was willing to work down from that! The team offered the one year deal and made it seem as if it was a take or leave it kind of deal so he left it.
