U.S. coach Jurgen Klinsmann has made a few key changes in the midfield and backfield for Tuesday night's World Cup qualifier against Honduras in Utah. DeMarcus Beasley will miss the match while serving a one-game suspension because of yellow card accumulation. Beasley had started the previous six matches at left back and Klinsmann has put German-born Fabian Johnson in Beasley's spot. Graham Zusi and Jermaine Jones both return to the midfield after sitting out a 2-0 victory over Panama last week. Zusi sat out because of yellow card accumulation. Jones was cleared to play after being held out when he suffered a mild concussion in a 2-1 victory over Jamaica on June 7. Tim Howard starts as goalkeeper. Omar Gonzalez, Matt Besler, Brad Evans and Johnson man the back line in Klinsmann's 4-5-1 formation. Jones, Zusi, Eddie Johnson, Michael Bradley and Clint Dempsey start in the midfield. Jozy Altidore is the lone forward. Altidore has scored in three straight matches and netted his eighth career goal in qualifying with the winner against Panama. Howard also earned his first shutout of 2013 against Panama and his second overall during the current World Cup qualifying cycle. The U.S. (3-1-1) began the night leading Group A with 10 points. Costa Rica (2-1-2) and Mexico (1-0-5) were tied for second with eight points apiece. Honduras (2-2-1) was fourth with seven points. Panama (1-1-3) was fifth with sixth points and Jamaica (0-4-2) was last with two points. Honduras is using a 4-4-2 formation for the match. Noel Valladares starts at goalkeeper. Jose Velasquez, Emilio Izaquirre, Arnold Peralta and Juan Pablo Montes are at defender. Roger Espinoza, Jorge Carlos, Andy Najar and Wilson Palacios get the starting nod in the midfield. Mario Martinez and Carlo Costly start at forward. The top three nations advance to the 32-nation World Cup field in Brazil next year, and the No. 4 nation faces New Zealand in a playoff for another berth. Rio Tinto Stadium, home of MLS club Real Salt Lake, sold out in advance of the match. The stadium normally holds 20,008. Additional seating was added to accommodate 20,250 fans for the qualifier. The lineups: Honduras-Noel Valladares; Jose Velasquez, Emilio Izaquirre, Arnold Peralta; Juan Pablo Montes; Roger Espinoza, Jorge Carlos, Andy Najar, Wilson Palacios; Mario Martinez, Carlo Costly. United States-Tim Howard; Brad Evans, Omar Gonzalez, Matt Besler, Fabian Johnson; Jermaine Jones, Michael Bradley, Graham Zusi, Eddie Johnson, Clint Dempsey; Jozy Altidore.
