Good morning, campers!  We’re less than two weeks from Christmas and the end of the Big Skeezy Challenge.  It’s been a long road but things are still going Skeezy’s way for the most part.  he dropped a pound last week as we turned the corner into the real meat of the holiday season.  How would he hold up?  Let’s break it down, shall we?

This last week was a very busy one.  As you are all aware, the holiday season brings a bunch of parties.  You are also aware that I love to party.  A holiday party is even better, and that’s where we’re at.  I’ve had a sneaking suspicion that december would be a bad month for me but, so far, it’s been decent.  Not stellar, but decent.

I’m still doing the Four-Hour Body routine for the most part, though I’m allowing myself to be a bit more lenient here and there.  For example, early last week I went to my friend “Sabrina’s” house and we made tacos.  Not bad, really, but I had a few chips, two corn tortillas and a good amount of beer.  The next couple of days were decent (gym and health, for the most part) and then Friday hit.

Friday night was a pretty mellow one.  I went out with some friends and saw “The Sitter” (not that good, alas) and then hung out at the bar at the movie theater afterwards.  We had some drinks back at my friend “Kyle’s” before falling asleep.

I awoke Saturday and made my way home.  I was well-rested and this was a very good thing.  At 11AM I was to meet some friends at Cabo Cantina in Venice for $10 bottomless mimosas and bloody marys until 3PM.  I arrived just after 11 and had a nice breakfast – an egg white omelet with veggies.  I also had some coffee, water and tomato juice…with vodka in it.  And another, and another, etc.

I did that until 3:00 and then cabbed home.  I rested for a few hours before it was time to shower and get dressed for a holiday party which was at the Edison, a club downtown.  It was a delightful affair and I saw a lot of old friends I hadn’t seen in quite some time.  It was roughly midnight when security decided I wasn’t going to be drinking anymore.  We closed the club down and made our way back to the west side.

Sunday was football, of course.  The guys came over with two bags full of Jack in the Box tacos and chicken sandwiches.  I ate three of those sandwiches nervously while I watch the Broncos play the Bears.  Luckily, that turned out very well.  My diet was more or less shot over the weekend but it was a hell of a good time.

I spent Monday like I spend most Mondays – trying to work off what I can before the weigh-in.  That part went better than I expected, though, as I evened out for the week.  I’m still at 268.  I know I could have done better, obviously, but I’m okay with that.  If I can eat all that crap and maintain with the exercise and such I did, it gives me a good barometer as to what my body’s metabolism is doing these days.

This week has some golf, a volunteer event, drinks with the mother of the one and only GIRL BABY and lord knows what else.  I’m going to try to be good, Santa.  I promise.
