Duke's loss to Lehigh on Friday night will probably rank as the greatest upset of an ACC team in NCAA Tournament history. Seeded second in the South Region, Duke just never got it together against the 15th-seeded Mountain Hawks, falling in an NCAA game for just the second time in the state of North Carolina. Here is a quick look the biggest upsets of ACC teams in NCAA Tournament history in no order: SW Missouri State 65, Clemson 61, 1987 The 13-seed Bears shocked the No. 4 Tigers by slowing down ACC Player of the Year Horace Grant. Southern 93, Georgia Tech 78, 1993 The 4-seeded Yellow Jackets were coming off an ACC Tournament championship in which they beat eventual national champion UNC in the title game, but were flat and could never get their intensity and were blown out by the SWAC school. Weber State 76, North Carolina 74, 1999 The 3rd-seeded Tar Heels never figured out how to stop Harold The Show Arceneaux, who poured in 36 points. It was later reported that hundreds of Weber State jerseys were purchased and mailed to many addresses in Durham, N.C. Boston College 75, North Carolina 72, 1994 UNC returned most of its players from a national title club but never got it fully together and bowed out in the second round to the Eagles. Duke 79, UNLV 77, 1991 In the national semifinals, the Blue Devils found a way to knock off a Vegas team that was unbeaten and had trounced Duke by 30 points in the national title game a year earlier. Duke won it all two nights later. Murray State 78, N.C. State 75, 1988 The Wolfpack was loaded that year and was primed to make a run in the big dance until it fell apart in a shocking loss to the Racers. Cleveland State 84, Wake Forest 69, 2009 The 3rd-seeded Demon Deacons were ranked No. 1 in the nation two months earlier, but in one of the most listless performances in ACC history were completely routed by the No. 13 Vikings. Connecticut 77, Duke 74, 1999 The NCAA championship game pitted the Huskies in their first ever Final Four that weekend versus the Blue Devils were considered unbeatable, though they had one loss, a buzzer-beater to Cincinnati in Alaska.
