Blown Saves and a One-Hitter

Another depressing night on the farm as the affiliates went 1-3 after blowing two big leads and narrowly avoiding a third. Portland 10    Las Vegas 9A crazy game in Las Vegas as the 51s managed to always stay one step ahead of Portland.  That is until Brian Wolfe entered in the ninth, trusted with an 8-5 lead.  Wolfe went ahead and allowed 5 runs on four hits and a walk before Sean Stidfole finished things off.  A Kevin Howard homer in the bottom half of the frame brought the 51s back to within a run but that was all she wrote.Fabio Castro started and pitched decently enough going 6.1 and allowing four runs on 9 hits and a walk.  He struck out two.  Bubbie Buzachero pitched two-thirds of a scoreless frame to lower his AAA ERA to 40.50.At the plate, Aaron Mathews had four hits, Randy Ruiz had three, while David Dellucci, Howard, and Angel Sanchez, who homered, allcontributed two hits a piece.  J.P.
