Bo knows copyright infringement?
Athletes have many quirks…this we know. And when it comes to Bo Jackson, the former two-sport stud is very particular with what he’ll allow his name to be on.
Saturday, Jackson will be appearing at a memorabilia show just outside of Chicago, and if you’re planning on getting his John Hancock, you better follow the rules.
Autograph seekers of the former Kansas City Royals outfielder best take note, the 1989 All-Star Game MVP will not sign the following:
Weird, right?
After some digging, I couldn’t find any real reason why Jackson would not want to be associated with the iconic black and white 1987 photo of him in football pants with a bat across his shoulders other than (maybe) because it involved in a copyright dispute in 2013.
But why would that be enough for Jackson to refuse signing it? Especially if someone is willing to drop $149 to have him do so.
If anyone has an idea why…leave it in the comments.
