Jason Bay and Jacoby Ellsbury each had three RBI and the Boston Red Sox pounded out 17 hits to beat the Washington Nationals, 11-3. Ellsbury had two triples and Bay hit his 19th homer of the season in the win. Brad Penny was dealt a no-decision pitching 5 2/3 innings, six hits, three earned runs, three walks and six strikeouts. Boston put away the game in the top of the eighth inning with a six run frame capped off by a Nick Green RBI single to left field scoring Ellsbury. Star of the Game - Green It's easy to pick Bay or Ellsbury but Green's double play in the bottom of the third was a spectacular defensive play. Green also went 1-for-4 at the plate with a run batted in and a walk. Next Game - 6/24 vs. Washington Nationals - Jon Lester/Craig Stammen Five games up in the division and Lester pitching against the lowly Nationals adds up to another chance for Boston to expand their division lead.
