It has been a harrowing stretch for Bostonians who have to deal with the circumstances of this week. When the law enforcement officials decided to announce that the entire city is going to be locked down, it was not long before the differing leagues made their announcements. It took them awhile, but the Red Sox were the first to make their decision. OFFICIAL: Tonight’s Red Sox game at Fenway Park scheduled for 7:10pm has been postponed to support efforts of law enforcement officers. The Red Sox had finished a three-game series with the Cleveland Indians at Progressive Field. The match tonight versus Kansas City would have been the first home game since the bombings. It is important to note that this is a start of a homestand that takes them to the end of the month. The Bruins also made the decision to postpone their match against the Pens. They already decided to defer their sale of postseason tickets that were slated to start today.
