The Milwaukee Brewers started fast and then had to endure a slow finish. The wait was worth it. Carlos Gomez had two hits and three of Milwaukee's five stolen bases, Juan Francisco and Jonathan Lucroy homered and the Brewers held on to beat the Colorado Rockies 7-5 on a rainy Saturday night. Milwaukee's Jean Segura had two hits and two RBIs before leaving with tightness in his right forearm. ''He's fine. He may be sore tomorrow,'' manager Ron Roenicke said. ''It tightened up on him is why we took him out.'' Troy Tulowitzki homered among his three hits and Wilin Rosario also went deep for the Rockies. The Brewers were three outs from winning when the rain picked up and caused a 1-hour, 45-minute delay in the middle of the ninth inning. Jim Henderson then retired the Rockies in over for his 12th save. It made a winner out of Tom Gorzelanny (2-4), who allowed four runs and six hits in 5 1-3 innings to get his first win as a starter sin...

Brewers to give fans Braun's salary

The Brewers know they face a PR disaster regarding the Ryan Braun PED suspension, but in August, they'll begin to try and make things right with the Milwaukee faithful.

Ryan Braun Merchandise Sales Increase Following His PED Suspension

Milwaukee Brewers’ fans will stand by their man, even when his own teammates abandon him. The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports that sales of Ryan Braun merchandise have increased since Major League Baseball suspended Braun for the rest of the 2013 season for violating the league’s Joint Drug Prevention and Treatment Program. In an interview with the Journal Sentinel’s Don...

Brewers give back to fans with 10 food voucher

In the days following the announcement of Ryan Braun's season-ending suspension, Milwaukee Brewers principal owner Mark Attanasio made it clear he was going to give back to the fans in what has turned into a long season. The first part of a series of special fan appreciation initiatives was announced Monday, as the Brewers will give all fans attending any of the 12 home games...

Brewers apologize for threatening to eject fan in 'Ryan Fraud' jersey

Brewers slugger Ryan Braun as we all know is currently serving a 65-game suspension for his role in the Biogenesis scandal and that suspension came after Braun's stern and repeated denials of ever using PEDs. All of this has caused not-insubstantial levels of outrage among baseball observers and at least one hometown Brewers fan is none too pleased with Braun's deceptions...

Brewers' Jean Segura leaves game with tight right forearm

Milwaukee Brewers shortstop Jean Segura left Saturday night's game against Colorado with a tight right forearm. Hit by a fastball from Rockies starter Collin McHugh in the top of the fourth inning, Segura grounded out to shortstop to finish the at-bat after home plate umpire Dana DeMuth ruled he swung at the pitch he got hit on. Segura attempted to stay in the game, but Jeff...

Brewers' Segura leaves game with forearm injury

Milwaukee shortstop Jean Segura has left the Brewers' game against the Rockies in the sixth inning, developing tightness in his right forearm two innings after he swung into a pitch that hit him in the same area. Segura swung at an inside offering from Collin McHugh in the fourth inning Saturday night and went down in pain when the pitch hit him on the forearm. A Brewers'...

Milwaukee's Wily Peralta endures rough outing on the road

Wily Peralta was pitching so well in July it was easy to forget he was still a rookie. The rookie struggles returned to the right-hander Friday night, as Peralta allowed five earned runs on seven hits and three walks in just 3 23 innings in Milwaukee's 8-3 loss in Colorado. Colorado scored three unearned runs off Peralta, and the Rockies certainly didn't hit the ball hard...

Brewers Sunday: Crew remains confident through loss

In what has turned into a lost season, the Milwaukee Brewers have lost their fair share of games in which they've played poorly. Those are the losses that keep manager Ron Roenicke awake at night. Sure, losing is welcomed by nobody inside Milwaukee's clubhouse, but losses like Sunday's in Colorado are at least easier to swallow. Though Sunday's 6-5 loss to the Rockies...

Interest growing in Kyle Lohse

People have though that Milwaukee Brewers pitcher Yovani Gallardo would be one of biggest names available at the trade deadline. A guy that every contender came calling about but thanks to salary and struggles that interest is dwindling. Teams are now asking about Kyle Lohse who has easily been performing at a level well above his three year, $33 million contract. One rival general...

Brewers builds early lead, hold off Rockies 7-5

The Milwaukee Brewers used brawn and speed to subdue the Colorado Rockies on Saturday night. Carlos Gomez had two hits and three of Milwaukee’s five stolen bases Juan Francisco and Jonathan Lucroy homered and the Brewers held off the Rockies 7-5 on a rainy night at Coors Field. Milwaukee’s Jean Segura had two hits and two RBIs before leaving with tightness in his right forearm...

Greinke: Braun “willing to use anyone”

Zack Greinke was a former teammate of Ryan Braun during his time in Milwaukee. Now a pitcher on the Los Angeles Dodgers there was no shortage of slams directed at the Brewers outfielder who has been suspended for the remainder of the 2013 season. Greinke called Braun a liar and a user in an interview with the Los Angeles Times: “The main thing is, yeah, he lied to us,” Greinke...
