Brandon Banks was a standout LB that was committed to play football at the University of Southern California. In 2002 the Poytechnic High School alum was charged with dragging classmate Wanetta Gibson in to a stairwell and raping her. He avoided a 41 year sentence by accepting a plea deal that would send Banks to prison for five years followed by 5 years of probation as well as Banks having to register as a sex offender. After Banks served his sentence Gibson sent him a Facebook message requesting a meeting with Banks. At that meeting she admitted fabricating the story in order to win a $1.5 million lawsuit.
