Bruce Ratner went on CNBC's Squawk Box Monday to talk about his team's plans to renovate Nassau Coliseum but wound getting praise for Barclays Center and defending the Nets off-season moves. Andrew Ross Sorkin the show's host called Barclays Center "one of the most beautiful if not. I think it may be the most beautiful arena i have been in ever." From there it was down hill. Ratner told the CNBC crew he was optimistic about Forest City/Barclays Center's chances vs. MSG. He said he expects to bring the same quality to the renovated coliseum. And when one of the hosts suggested that the Nets may have been up too much for Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett "guys as old as me" Ratner still a minority partner had a spiel ready. "We didn't give up very much. A couple first round picks. That's okay. We're likely to be in a winning position. So I'm not sure those picks are worth so muchthough" said Ratner whose group still owns 20 ...

Paul Pierce Gets Rude Introduction to New York Traffic While Trying to Enter Holland Tunnel (Photo)

The traffic in Waltham, Mass., or even in the most congested parts of Boston has nothing on the traffic heading into the Holland Tunnel, either...

Former Celtic Robert Parish Warns Paul Pierce That Transition to Nets Will Be ‘Awkward’

In this day and age, it is rare for an NBA player to spend the entirety of his career with one team. Whether it be the lure of a higher-paying contract, the desire to play for a championship-contending team, or just being sent off to another team against your will, NBA players usually make a few stops around the league before hanging up their jerseys for good. Paul Pierce was nearly...

Doc Rivers thinks trade to Brooklyn could rejuvenate Paul Pierce

Doc Rivers could tell Paul Pierce was emotionally hurt trying to come to grips with the notion that he no longer was wanted in Boston. Pierce bled Celtics green courtesy of playing 15 years with the franchise that plucked him out of Kansas with the 10th selection in the 1998 draft. He was attached to the Celtics a part of the team's fabric. But the proverbial umbilical cord...

Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here… highlighting the big storyline. Because there’s nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump.
