While the holidays are a time for spending time at home with family, not everyone will be so lucky.
That’s why the Bruins continue on with their annual holiday toy event, which gives about $22,000 worth of toys to children in local hospitals who aren’t make it home this season. Recently Bruins president Cam Neely and coach Claude Julien headed out to Target as part of the event, picking out some toys personally to get delivered to a youngster. Even NESN’s own Dale Arnold and Adam Pellerin tagged along to help out the cause.
Check out the Bruins spread some holiday cheer in the video above.

CSNNE Bruins reporter Joe Haggerty tweeted out this picture (via The Score) on Tuesday night and it shows what I am assuming is a diehard B’s fan and his new tattoo. According to The Score, Tyler Seguin signed this dude’s arm and then the fan decided to get that signature permanently tattooed into his skin right next to what appears to be a terribly illustrated Stanley Cup in...
Zdeno Chara and Miroslav Satan have built a friendship over the years as a pair of Slovakian hockey players who made good in the NHL. They were teammates in international competition, and they were even teammates a few years back with the Bruins. Whatever friendship they might have had, however, is over, at least in Satan’s eyes. The veteran forward is steamed and upset with Chara...
Remember this hit:
Well of course you do. Anyways, it has pissed of Miroslav Satan to the point where he doesn't want to be friends with Zdeno Chara anymore. This coming from the man who was Chara's best man at his wedding.
NESN wrote about it this morning:
“I have played hockey for 30 years,” Satan said after the game, according to the KHL’s...
Bobby Orr has always been solid on a pond, whether the ice is frozen or not.
The Bruins legend also loves to fish, and he was raring for another go when Charlie Moore came calling recently — so much so that Orr was getting some practice in as Charlie approached in his boat-pulling Hummer.
An Orr-Moore battle on the pond is one for the ages. Watch a clip of the two together in the...
Bruins fans had been waiting 39 years for the team to win the Stanley Cup again. Finally, their wait would be coming to a close.
After six grueling games, Boston and Vancouver were heading for a winner-take-all showdown in Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final. Each team had held serve on their home ice thus far, but with the Presidents’ Cup-winning Canucks hosting the B’s for the...
Game 6 of the 2011 Stanley Cup Final was a must-win for the Bruins. Luckily, that’s what they did best at the TD Garden that series.
Roberto Luongo didn’t last the night as the B’s continued to beat up the Canucks in Boston, making the last home game of the year a memorable one. The Vancouver goalie was pulled just 8:35 into the game after allowing three goals in the span of...
