Greetings Losers, it’s been awhile since I brought you any Bucks news. I know you’ve been anxiously waiting for an update. Well, I’m back from my holiday pilgrimage to the homeland, and will get you up to speed. Since I last wrote about the Bucks (12/16, ass whooping by Clippers) they have gone 3 and 2, with important victories over Ind, Bos, and Bkn, all teams they will be battling for playoff positioning.
The Bucks have been getting healthy, solidifying the rotation, and generally playing pretty well. Evidence of this was on display saturday night as it was a Buckin stampede all over the (very flat) Miami Heat. Bucks won by a final score of 104-85.
1)In the first half, the Bucks were moving the ball around like it was out of air. Just whippin it from side to side. Turns out, that is a pretty effective way to play the game. They were up by 12 after the first half 2)Larry Sanders plays the game with joy. He’s second in the league in blocked shots per game (behind Ibaka), and really is a game changer. The opposition is passing on or adjusting shots out of fear. Double double for Larry. 3) Monta Ellis is making the occassional three pointer. Amazing what a difference it makes when a few of those go in. 4) The Bucks had 29 assists and 17 steals.
Negatives: 1) In the third quarter the Bucks stopped moving the ball and shot something like 7 for 29 and completely pissed away the lead. McGlocklin calls these droughts “offensive black holes”. Ralphnuts has been in an offensive black hole his entire life. Ball just don’t drop, damn. Fortunately, they then went on a 16-0 run and got their **** together. 2) Ersan, your role now is to be a (very well paid) sparkplug off the bench, need to see more than 6pts and 4 boards my man.
In an interview, Monta Ellis said he is every bit as good as D Wade, except for Wade has alot more wins and two championships. I guess that’s probably pretty accurate, but it seems to be a rather significant difference. Paschke then said he thought he (Paschke) was alot like Brad Pitt, except Brad Pitt is good looking. Come on Paschke, don’t sell yourself short, I think your one handsome son of a *****.
It sure is nice to have Udrih and Dunleavy back. They are an effective duo. I gotta admit, I put my hand in the air everytime Dunleavy releases one, because you just know it’s going in. Not alot of other players on the team that you can do that with.
The Bucks are 16-12 and tied for first place in the Central Division. **** man, more than 1/4 of the way thru the season, and the Bucks are leading the division. Doesn’t seem like that has happened in many years. Are they gonna win the whole ****? No, but it still feels pretty good. They’re leading the division and just spanked the Heat. Gotta enjoy the season folks. Their upcoming schedule is @ Det, Sas, Hou. Should be 18-13 at the end of this stretch.
