Apparently everybody knows the San Antonio Spurs are the model franchise for small market teams in the NBA.   Earlier this summer some members of the Indiana Pacers came to work out with the Spurs and now some members of the Atlanta Hawks also visited the Alamo City to pick the brains of the Spurs.    Atlanta Hawks coach and former Spurs assistant Mike Budenholzer seems to be at the forefront of wanting his players to take a look at how things are done in San Antonio.   Coach Bud brings several of his Hawks to SA to workout with Spurs. — Maximum Sports (@MaxSportsSA) September 11, 2013 With plenty of knowledge to share, the Spurs seem to be gracious and willing to train with anyone who appreciates their work ethic. The Spurs organization has developed a culture that most NBA teams wish they could have. There couldn’t be a better place for teams to start than with having players participate and train with the Spurs for the upcoming season. Having seasoned and humble experienced players makes the Spurs a gold mine for players to craft their work ethic around.   Let’s see if the Pacers and Hawks can continue to mold their franchises in the successful way the Spurs have.   It takes time and dedication from ownership all the way down to the players on the court. Expect both of these teams to have a similar approach to this upcoming season as the San Antonio Spurs.
