TEAMS: Phoenix Suns

LENOX -- Jamie Keefe will bring the Pittsfield Suns into the Futures Collegiate Baseball League in June. Keefe said he's looking forward to the challenge, but it isn't easy trying to get a team together for this summer.

"Just because we're so far behind," Keefe said. "Taking this position and us being in talks for a while, I have been working on the team for over a month. You have to realize that when college coaches bring their new freshmen in and they get to school in the fall, by the end of September, they have most of their team placed for the next summer."

Keefe, who was the manager of the Can-Am League Pittsfield Colonials last season, is returning to the city to be the general manager and field manager for the Goldklang Group's newest baseball team. The Suns open the season at Wahconah Park on June 7 against the Nashua Silver Knights.

Give Nash A Chance

Steve Nash has been one of the best and most creative point guards in the NBA for over a decade now. He hasn’t won a title yet, and he won’t win one in his remaining years at Phoenix, so they should trade him and give him one last chance to do so. Nash is a class act and won’t come out and demand a trade from the team he’s been with for so long, but inside he would really...
