NBA Injury News:
As Monday's Game 1 against the Miami Heat approached, Luol Deng and Kirk Hinrich were both listed as doubtful and questionable to suit up for the contest. Neither wound up playing, but the Bulls still managed to overcome the heavily favored Heat, taking Game 1 of the second-round series. It was announced early yesterday that Deng wouldn't be playing, as the forward was once again administered into the hospital on Sunday. He continues to deal with the impact of his spinal tap, and he was forced to watch Game 1 from his hospital bed. While Hinrich was with the team, he continues dealing with a severe calf injury that his kept him out since the middle of the Bulls' first-round series against the Brooklyn Nets.Even without Deng, Hinrich and of course Derrick Rose, the Bulls did what many thought was near impossible. Chicago received big performances from Nate Robinson and Jimmy Butler, while the team continued its tough style of play. The Bulls may have to continue their series without Deng or Hinrich, as neither is a sure bet to return for Game 2. Deng isn't expected to rejoin the team until today, which makes his availability for Wednesday's matchup extremely questionable.Follow @hoopsinjurynews

The Bulls and their fans feeling good after their Game 1 victory over the Heat.

If needed, there's plenty of things Miami and Chicago could use as extra motivation before meeting in a playoff series, like how the Heat rolled to a win when they met in the Eastern Conference finals two years ago or how the Bulls snapped the reigning champions' 27-game winning streak down the stretch of this regular season.

Nobody in their right mind really disputes this. Even the lone person to cast a first-place MVP vote for someone other than James admits this in his defense of Carmelo Anthony as his vote recipient. James was the best. Anthony, Kevin Durant, Chris Paul and the scores of other All-NBA-caliber players on the ballot were a step...

MIAMI (AP) -- The Miami Heat have been in this less-than-ideal spot before.
