Snow gear will receive a stylish overhaul come Fall. Burton has teamed up with L.A.M.B. by Gwen Stefani on a new women’s range. The L.A.M.B. for Burton capsule collection of jackets, vests, pants and beanies will fuse Stefani’s bold, edgy design aesthetic with Burton’s on-mountain functionality. Details characteristic of the L.A.M.B. line such as houndstooth and tweed patterns, unique hardware, and loud, Rasta-inspired color schemes will be incorporated into the gear. Items will be available beginning in September at Burton Flagships and burton.com.
“The clothing itself is really technical. We haven’t done that before so it was a new challenge,” said Stefani. “We worked really hard on the pants. You don’t think of snowboarding pants as being superflattering by nature so we tried to mix masculine and feminine, which we always do, and give them a really cute fit, then added a tuxedo stripe for that edge.”
Among the featured pieces are the L.A.M.B. for Burton Parka Jacket and Tux Pant. The jacket features vibrants hues and subtle details in the red, yellow and green Rasta color scheme. On the technical side, it includes breathable “3M Thinsulate” insulation. The pant features a waterproof/breathable “DRYRIDE Durashell 2L” fabric, with a design that embodies L.A.M.B.’s signature punk rock flair.
